J.B. Pritzker’s Democratic campaign for governor has unleashed a new round of robocalls, criticizing an alternative budget package proposed by legislative Republicans and backed by GOP Gov. Bruce Rauner as “a sham.”

The robocall is serving a dual purpose. To help his party play defense, it’s being played in state Senate districts held by Democratic Sens. Tom Cullerton of Villa Park, Julie Morrison of Deerfield, Terry Link of Waukegan, Andy Manar of Bunker Hill, Bill Haine of Alton and James Clayborne of Belleville. See more here
