Illinois Governor JB Pritzker and his administration are taking action to support thousands of workers impacted by federal job cuts.

In his State of the State address, Gov. JB Pritzker, D-Ill., warned against authoritarianism, saying “it took the Nazis one month, three weeks, two days, eight hours, and 40 minutes to dismantle a constitutional republic” and asked Illinoisans to “gather your justice and your humanity.”

IBM’s decision is a huge win for Gov. JB Pritzker, who has for years sought to make Illinois a global leader in quantum computing and innovation.

“We can’t wait around and be reactive when the latest attacks come, the pro-choice majority in this country need to be proactive,” Pritzker said.

With fiscal year 2025 slated to begin Monday, Gov. JB Pritzker continues to tout available state tax incentives and promote Illinois as a site for business development.
