CHICAGO, IL – Governor JB Pritzker and Christian Mitchell walked in the 97th annual Bud Billiken Parade to celebrate the back-to-school season on the South Side of Chicago.

“It’s great to be back at this year’s Bud Billiken parade celebrating our community, our schools, and our kids,” said Governor JB Pritzker. “As students get ready for another school year, this is a reminder of the progress we’ve made in education – and proof that when we invest in young people, there’s nothing we can’t achieve.”
“Chicago’s South Side is my home, and I am honored to be part of this year’s Bud Billiken Parade as JB Pritzker’s running mate,” said lieutenant gubernatorial candidate Christian Mitchell. “As our kids head back to school, Bud Billiken unites Chicago’s African American community and is an incredible celebration of our kids and our culture.”
