SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) — Gov. J.B. Pritzker alongside lawmakers celebrated Friday the construction of a $23 million dollar Vantive American headquarters in Illinois.
Vantive gives kidney and organ care across the globe, employing 23,000 people. This new headquarters will give 50 new full time job opportunities to Illinoisan workers.
“We are immensely grateful of this state Illinois, a state that many of us call home,” Vantive CEO Chris Toth said. “It really is an honor to have Governor Pritzker with us today.”
The Democrat Governor cut the ribbon with his pair of giant scissors to officially open the new Vantive site.
Pritzker said the company wanted to setup in Illinois thanks to the EDGE program. This program gives tax credits to companies when they bring more jobs to the state.
“It’s important to have the right tools,” Pritzker said. “The result of that is our economic development in the state is more robust than it’s been in the past 35 years.”
The new company building is located in Deerfield, a northern suburb above Chicago.
Vantive could receive more tax credits from the state if they add more jobs to Illinois.
