Chicago, IL – Today, the Sierra Club endorsed JB Pritzker for governor. The Sierra Club represents 100,000 members and supporters across Illinois ready to defeat Bruce Rauner in November.

“I’m honored to have the endorsement of the Sierra Club. Together, we will make Illinois one of the greenest states in the country,” said JB Pritzker. “Unlike Donald Trump and Bruce Rauner, I stand on the side of science and will work to combat climate change as governor. One of my first acts will be joining responsible leaders across the country in signing onto the U.S. Climate Alliance and honoring the Paris Climate Agreement in Illinois. I will bring all stakeholders to the table to put our state on a path toward 100% clean, renewable energy, and I’ll invest in clean water infrastructure, expand energy efficiency efforts, and support the agencies that protect our environment. Climate change is a real threat, and we have a responsibility to our children to act. I’m ready to do that as governor.”
