Unlike Donald Trump and his partner in Springfield, Bruce Rauner, JB knows climate change is a real threat and that we have a responsibility to our children and to the future of our state to act. As governor, JB will take immediate action to enter the US Climate Alliance, an alliance of states dedicated to upholding the provisions of the Paris Climate Agreement. He will also stand up to Trump’s attack on Illinois’ environment, fighting to maintain full funding for the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative and our regional EPA office.

REALITY CHECK:

• JB will support the Paris Agreement and sign on to the US Climate Alliance.
• JB will put Illinois on a path towards 100% clean, renewable energy.
• JB will invest in clean water infrastructure and expand energy efficiency efforts.
• JB supports bringing environmental and labor stakeholders to the table to combat climate change.
• JB will strengthen and rebuild Illinois agencies to protect our environment, including IDNR, IEPA, and the Illinois Environmental Justice Commission.
