Rauner Failed Me: Jill Dupy’s Story

Monday, April 16, 2018

Chicago, IL – Today, JB for Governor released a new story in the multimedia “Rauner Failed Me” campaign highlighting the real people who have been hurt by Bruce Rauner’s failures as governor.

Jill, an adjunct professor, is the latest Illinoisan to be featured in the campaign. Jill has been failed by Bruce Rauner’s assault on higher education, creating job uncertainty for her and slashing critical programs for her students. Jill’s story, and the stories of others who have been impacted by Bruce Rauner’s gross mismanagement can be found at the campaign’s website: RaunerFailedMe.com.

“Bruce Rauner’s attacks on higher education have created a crisis for Jill, her students, and higher education institutions throughout the state,” said Pritzker campaign communications director Galia Slayen. “This failed governor is driving the best and the brightest out of Illinois with his destructive agenda.”

“I have personally witnessed the impact on students’ and professors’ lives since Bruce Rauner made us go two years without a budget,” said Jill Dupy. “Colleges were forced to make cuts after cuts and downsize. Every department had to cut spending, and that means cutting classes available to students, and cutting jobs for adjunct professors like me. JB has a vision for the state of Illinois, and I support him because of what he’s done —  not just what he says he’s going to do.”
