Chicago, IL – Today, JB for Governor released a new story in their multimedia “Rauner Failed Me” campaign highlighting the real people who have been hurt by Bruce Rauner’s failures as governor.

Grace, a working single mom who was devastated by Bruce Rauner’s attacks on the Child Care Assistance Program, is the latest Illinoisan to be featured in the campaign. Her story, and the stories of others who have been impacted by Bruce Rauner’s gross mismanagement, can be found at the campaign’s website, RaunerFailedMe.com.

“Bruce Rauner manufactured a 736-day budget crisis and led an assault on the Child Care Assistance Program, devastating the tools that Grace and her children needed to build better lives,” said Pritzker communications director Galia Slayen. “While Bruce Rauner attempted to wipe his hands of responsibility and said, ‘I’m not in charge,’ children and families across our state paid the price for his failed leadership.”

“I was a single mom making close to minimum wage and with Bruce Rauner’s cuts, I still made too much money to qualify for the Child Care Assistance Program,” said Grace Macedo. “If Bruce Rauner were elected again, more programs that help families like mine would shut down. Instead of cutting programs, JB will fight for families like mine to get the help we need.”
