Chicago, IL – From lies about his unbalanced budget proposals to the primary opponent that almost ousted him, Bruce Rauner can’t seem to tell the truth. Fact checkers have taken the failed governor to task and repeatedly corrected his pathological lies. Here is just a sampling of the falsehoods that Politifact has corrected:

“After failing the state for three years, Bruce Rauner has desperately turned to peddling blatant falsehoods to distract from the damage he’s done,” said Pritzker campaign spokeswoman Jordan Abudayyeh. “From conducting private business on public property, to saying he presented a balanced budget, and even lying about where his grandparents are from, it is clear Illinoisans just can’t trust Lyin’ Bruce to tell the truth.”
