CHICAGO, IL – Darren Bailey won the nomination for governor and has largely avoided answering hard questions from the press, holding only two press conferences since March. While Darren continues to take softball questions in his safe spaces on right-wing podcasts, it has been over two months since he held a formal press conference and taken questions from the media.
In response, JB for Governor campaign spokesperson Alex Gough released the following statement:
“Darren Bailey claims he’s fit to serve as governor of Illinois and yet he’s hardly shown up to campaign for the job, avoiding taking questions from the press about his extreme views. While Governor Pritzker faces tough questions from the press regularly, holding dozens of events since the primary, Darren Bailey is hiding. What is he so afraid of?”
