CHICAGO, IL – On Saturday, May 23, Governor JB Pritzker joined Sueños Music Festival to greet attendees and celebrate with Chicago’s vibrant Latino community. The Governor took the main stage to welcome Dr. Simi to Illinois and introduce Venezuelan artist Danny Ocean.
“It was my honor to join Sueños to meet Dr. Simi and celebrate the Latino community that makes Chicago and Illinois who we are,” said Governor Pritzker. “This community has been through a lot, but our city has repeatedly shown the world exactly who we are – neighbors who look out for one another and stand up for each other.”
Dr. Simi is the beloved mascot of Mexican pharmacy chain Farmacias Similares, known for his charisma and signature dance moves. Born out of a mission to make healthcare affordable and accessible, he has become a cultural icon across Latin America and Latino communities in the U.S.
