CHICAGO, IL – Over the past week, Governor JB Pritzker took action to support Illinoisans impacted by extreme weather events, a stark contrast to the Trump administration, which has withheld emergency funding to retaliate against the state of Illinois. Gov. Pritzker also demanded that the Pentagon provide answers on the disturbing conditions faced by American service members aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln. In addition, he hosted Governor’s Day at the Illinois State Fair, where he joined Democrats from across the state in reaffirming their fight for an equitable, just, and better Illinois. Meanwhile, the Bailey campaign accepted money from a registered child sex offender and dodged questions about the role documented-racist Kristina McCloy has on the campaign. Rounding out the week, Bailey equivocated on whether dinosaurs and people lived at the same time, continuing to double down on his extreme positions while demonstrating he is unfit for office.
