WILMINGTON, IL — During the JB for Governor Fighting for You Tour, Governor JB Pritzker and lieutenant gubernatorial candidate Christian Mitchell received the endorsement of the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) Local 150 at their training center in Wilmington.
Local 150 represents more than 24,000 union members working in construction, road building, crane operating, public works, and more. Local 150 was critical in passing the Illinois Workers Rights Amendment, which enshrined the right to unionize in the state’s constitution.
“From my very first campaign for governor, Local 150 was one of the first unions by my side, and they have been invaluable partners every day since. I am honored to have their endorsement,” said Governor JB Pritzker. “Together, we have revitalized Illinois’ infrastructure, fortified worker safety protections, and enshrined the right to join a union in the state constitution. Unions built Illinois, and they hold the key to Illinois’ future.”
