As Prices Have Gone Up, Bailey Has Remained Silent
CHICAGO, IL – President Donald Trump’s illegal war in Iran is expensive and unpopular, with recent polling showing that nearly two-thirds of voters believe it was the wrong decision. Darren Bailey hasn’t told Illinoisans where he stands.
As Trump’s new forever war drags on, Illinoisans are paying the price. In addition to the war’s nearly $50 billion price tag and counting, rising energy costs are hitting working families to the tune of $337 per household, and that number keeps climbing.
Governor JB Pritzker has condemned the war for putting our troops in danger while driving up costs at home. Bailey has remained silent, refusing to denounce Trump even as Illinoisans struggle to afford gas and groceries.
Illinois voters are footing the bill for this war – they deserve to know where Bailey stands.
In response, JB for Governor campaign spokesperson Alex Gough released the following statement:
“Trump is emptying out working families’ bank accounts while enriching himself and his allies, and Darren Bailey has gone silent. He refuses to call the war what it is – an illegal endeavor funded by the American people. This is just another example of Bailey trying to conceal his extreme values from voters until Election Day.”
