CHICAGO, IL – Yesterday during a town hall, Darren Bailey blamed Operation Midway Blitz on Chicago, claiming the atrocities committed by Donald Trump’s masked federal agents were caused by the city’s failure to “help.” Bailey also falsely claimed that this invasion targeted “the most dangerous people,” despite the fact that 81% of those arrested had no criminal convictions, and multiple unarmed, nonviolent citizens and immigrants were shot or assaulted.
Darren Bailey could have stood up for Illinois, but instead he stood up for the people who terrorized our neighborhoods. While he continues to spread dangerous rhetoric targeting Illinois immigrant communities, he is once again showing that he is a danger to the people of Illinois.
