Chicago, IL — Yesterday, the US Senate rejected a “skinny repeal” of the Affordable Care Act. JB Pritzker issued the following statement in response:

“While I’m proud of the bipartisan group of legislators and activists on the ground who worked tirelessly to defend the Affordable Care Act, the fight isn’t over and we must keep calling on Bruce Rauner to stand up for Illinois,” said JB Pritzker. “Rauner has remained silent even as other Republican governors across the country stood strong in rejecting this callous bill. Our state needs a governor who will stand up to Donald Trump and his ongoing attacks on our health care system. Unlike Rauner, I’ll fight every day to expand access to quality, affordable health care for all Illinoisans.”
