JB Attends Rainbow PUSH Breakfast, Community Renewal Society Forum

Chicago, IL – Today, JB Pritzker and State Representative Juliana Stratton attended the Rainbow PUSH Scholarship Breakfast for MLK Day. JB then spoke at the Community Renewal Society Gubernatorial Candidate Forum at Old St. Patrick’s Church. Throughout the day, JB highlighted his commitment to criminal justice reform, creating jobs for all Illinois communities, and standing up to hate and injustice.

“With systemic disinvestment in communities across our state, with black communities still shut out of basic access to jobs, housing, healthcare, and education, with opportunity still so often reserved for too few, the fierce urgency of now is upon us,” said JB Pritzker. “It’s time we brought not just jobs into our communities, but true wealth and prosperity. Now is the time we demand children in every community get the quality education they deserve. Now is the time to lift up the community organizations and social service agencies that strengthen the communities they serve. Dr. King taught us to fight for justice and as governor, I will strive to live up to his ideals.”
