JB Pritzker Statement on IDCCA’s Sexual Harassment Policy and Pledge

Monday, February 19, 2018

Chicago, IL – JB Pritzker released the following statement on the Illinois Democratic County Chairs’ Association’s Sexual Harassment Policy and Pledge:

“Women should not be forced to accept sexual harassment as the price of admission to a career in politics,” said JB Pritzker. “It’s all of our responsibility to change our culture so that women are always treated with dignity and respect. I stand by the women who have bravely come forward to share their stories and it is clear that we have not done enough. Today, I am proud to sign the IDCCA pledge and will fully implement its proposals in my campaign and in our field offices across the state. In Juliana and my administration, we will ensure there is an independent and external body to investigate all allegations in a timely fashion and there will be zero tolerance for harassment of any kind.”
