JB Pritzker Shows He is Ready to Beat Bruce Rauner at Fifth Democratic Debate

Friday, March 2, 2018

Chicago, IL – At the fifth Democratic gubernatorial primary debate in Chicago tonight, JB Pritzker demonstrated that he is the only candidate prepared to hold Bruce Rauner accountable for his record of creating crisis for Illinois’ working families. JB showed he is the only candidate with the vision and leadership to get Illinois back on track while highlighting his plans to create jobs, invest in education, and pass a progressive income tax in Illinois.

“Every voter watching tonight clearly saw that JB Pritzker is the only candidate ready to hold Bruce Rauner accountable for his failed leadership,” said Pritzker campaign manager Anne Caprara. “JB made the case that Bruce Rauner has fiscally mismanaged state government and launched attack after attack on working families. Unlike Rauner, JB has real plans to put Springfield back on the side of working families and reverse the disinvestment in Illinois communities. It’s time for Democrats to come together to move Illinois forward and JB is the leader ready to unite this party and this state.”
