Chicago, IL – Today, JB Pritzker and State Representative Juliana Stratton hosted International Women’s Day breakfasts in both Chicago and Springfield. At the events, they highlighted their plans to fight for equal pay for equal work, stand up for women’s rights and women’s healthcare, and the importance of getting out the vote on March 20th.

“I’m so honored to celebrate International Women’s Day where we recognize the incredible achievements of women across the world,” said JB Pritzker. “I’ve been standing up for women’s rights my whole life and I’ll continue to do that as governor. My administration will be representative of the diversity of this state and will focus on fighting for economic, social, and political equality. Women will always have a seat at the table as we press for progress and build a better future for our state.”

“Today, across the state, nation, and world, women are uniting,” said State Representative Juliana Stratton. “We are celebrating our power and endless potential. We are claiming our seat at the table and contributing our voices to the decisions and policymaking that affect our families and our communities. There are 12 days until the primary election. We can either sit back and let the chips fall where they may, or we can dare to use our collective voice and our diverse perspectives to demand we be the architects of our future.”
