JB Continues Tour Through Central and Southern Illinois in Benton, Vienna, and Du Quoin

Du Quoin, IL — JB Pritzker continued his tour through Central and Southern Illinois today with stops in Benton, Vienna, and Du Quoin. Along the way, he discussed the importance of protecting workers’ rights, his plans to invest in infrastructure, and his vision for rebuilding social service agencies in the state.

He began the day at a meeting with mine workers in Benton:

JB then visited Autumn Ridge Supportive Living Facility of Family Counseling Center, Inc. Autumn Ridge provides behavioral health and developmental services to children and adults along with senior supportive living services. JB learned about the cuts forced on Family Counseling Centers, Inc. by Bruce Rauner’s budget crisis, and discussed his vision for social services in the state:

The day wrapped up with the Du Quoin State Fair Twilight parade. JB marched with local leaders and working families and stopped by the Southern Illinois Democratic Women’s tent:
