Chicago, IL – From the signature issues of his campaign to petty jabs at fellow Democrats, Chris Kennedy can’t seem to get his facts straight. Let’s take a look:

• Buying Guns On Amazon: On Thursday, Kennedy falsely claimed that Amazon sold guns.

• Insulting Cairo Students: Over the past few weeks, Kennedy has hurled insults at Cairo students that have no basis in fact, and despite being fact checked and corrected in real time, he tripled down on his attacks.

• Making Up Campaign Donations: Kennedy said that JB Pritzker donated to Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker. Yet another bold face lie.

• Misunderstanding Property Taxes: Kennedy has repeatedly gotten the facts wrong on a signature issue of his campaign. Early in his campaign, Kennedy was caught botching the facts about the property tax appeals process, and nine months later, he was still making the same mistake and was even corrected by Dan Biss.

“Chris Kennedy has a fraught relationship with the truth, confusing his facts or just flat out lying on the campaign trail,” said Pritzker campaign spokeswoman Jordan Abudayyeh. “From misunderstanding the property tax system to making false attacks on companies, competitors and even students, Kennedy has displayed a willingness to hurl rhetoric with little regard for the truth.”
