Chicago, IL – Today, the JB Pritzker for Governor campaign released its first radio ad, “Trust,” featuring Barbara Bowman. The new ad highlights JB’s commitment to working with educators like Bowman to ensure quality early childhood education for all Illinois children. In conjunction with the radio ad, the campaign is also releasing the next in its JB & Me video series featuring Bowman.

Barbara Bowman’s work and advocacy for early childhood education has touched the lives of thousands of children and families across Illinois. After getting her start as a nursery school teacher on Chicago’s Southside, Bowman went on to help found the Erikson Institute, serve as the Chief Early Childhood Education Officer for Chicago Public Schools, and become one of the world’s leading voices on the importance of quality educational programming for young children.“I am so honored to receive the support of Barbara Bowman and proud of all we have accomplished together,” said JB Pritzker. “Quality early childhood education isn’t optional, it is essential to providing equal opportunity to all Illinois children.
