Biss Please: This Month, Dan Biss Skipped Votes on Marijuana and Worker Protections

Monday, March 12, 2018

Chicago, IL – Dan Biss says he’s running on his record, but earlier this month, he skipped two important floor votes in Springfield.

Despite being a chief co-sponsor, Dan Biss wasn’t in Springfield to vote for the bill that put legalizing marijuana on the ballot. That same day, Biss failed to show up to vote for a bill that increased protections for working families that had the backing of several unions.

“Earlier this month, Dan Biss skipped votes putting marijuana legalization on the ballot and a bill that protects workers,” said Pritzker campaign spokeswoman Jordan Abudayyeh. “Biss would rather talk about his record on the campaign trail than show up and get things done for working families.”
