CHICAGO, IL — As Illinois families hit the road this Labor Day weekend, they’ll be paying record-high prices at the pump as Donald Trump’s war in Iran continues. While Illinois families struggle to afford essentials due to rising costs this holiday weekend, Darren Bailey remains too afraid to call on Trump to end his ongoing war of choice, even after JD Vance admitted there is no timeline for it to end.
In response, JB for Governor Press Secretary Leah Hurwitz released the following statement:
“This year’s Labor Day weekend is coming at a higher cost because of Donald Trump’s chaos. Families are facing record-high prices at the pump as they enter the holiday weekend, and Darren Bailey is continuing to choose his loyalty to Trump over Illinois families. If Bailey cared an ounce about Illinois, he would grow a spine and call on Donald Trump to end the war in Iran.”
