LYNWOOD, IL – Yesterday, Governor JB Pritzker and lieutenant gubernatorial candidate Christian Mitchell attended the Village of Lynwood’s official America250 Independence Day Cookout to greet attendees and celebrate America’s 250th anniversary.

“Our nation was founded 250 years ago with an assertion that we are all created equal, and that we are all entitled to unalienable rights,” said Gov. Pritzker. “The history of America is a story of Americans fighting to live up to that promise. This anniversary is a celebration of the progress we have made and a reminder that the work of becoming a better nation is never truly done.”
“The 250th anniversary is a celebration of our country’s determination. The American experiment is ongoing, and there’s always work to be done to make it stronger,” said lieutenant gubernatorial candidate Christian Mitchell. “JB Pritzker is committed to that work. As governor, he’s fought to protect our freedoms and made Illinois a beacon of hope and opportunity across the nation.”
