As State Senator, Bailey attacked IL pensions
CHICAGO, IL – Darren Bailey wants Illinois voters to forget that he sponsored a constitutional amendment spearheading the removal of pension protections for Illinois workers.
He can try all he wants to say that he’ll protect workers’ pensions, but voters won’t forget his track record. He said it himself – he introduced a constitutional amendment to remove the protections that ensure retirement savings and benefits for hundreds of thousands of hardworking Illinoisans.
Darren Bailey seems to think voters won’t remember his failed past as he flip-flops on key issues and tries to rebrand himself. But no matter what gubernatorial candidate Bailey claims today, nothing changes the fact that State Senator Bailey used his position to attack Illinois workers’ pensions.
