President Trump Decimated the Economy, Illinois Republicans Remain Complicit
CHICAGO, IL – As Donald Trump and his lackeys in the Illinois Republican Party wreak havoc on the livelihood of working families, Governor JB Pritzker has worked each day to raise wages and lower costs so that Illinoisans can afford to live their lives.
People can’t afford the essentials. That’s food, utility bills, and thanks to Trump’s illegal war against Iran, gas. The president’s failed agenda has now pushed inflation to its highest rate in two years, with no relief in sight.
Darren Bailey remains complicit – staying silent despite nearly two in three Americans disapproving of Trump’s handling of gas prices.
While Bailey would rather let Illinoisans suffer than give them a raise, Governor JB Pritzker is lowering costs and providing needed relief to Illinois families in the face of the president’s disastrous policies.
“Thanks to Trump’s failing agenda, Illinois families are facing soaring costs and skyrocketing gas prices – and Darren Bailey’s just watching it happen,” said Gov. Pritzker. “While the Republican Party continues to let Trump decimate the economy, I will keep fighting for working families across the state.”
Gov. Pritzker’s record is clear: he raised wages, lowered costs, and he’s fighting for the additional relief Illinois families deserve.
