As Trump’s War Skyrockets Costs, Darren Bailey Stays Silent

Bailey Loud and Proud in Support of Trump – Yet Silent as His War and Tariffs Drive up Costs

CHICAGO, IL – This week, Donald Trump’s war in the Middle East sent gas prices skyrocketing – GOP gubernatorial nominee Darren Bailey either didn’t notice or didn’t care. Not only has Bailey refused to condemn the president’s illegal war with Iran, he also won’t acknowledge the fact that it’s causing Illinois drivers pain at the pump.

Apparently, Bailey’s loyalty to Trump means staying silent as Illinoisans pay the price of this war.

This is not the first time Bailey has put his allegiance to Trump before his responsibility to Illinoisans struggling with high costs. He even supported Trump’s illegal tariffs, which stole from Illinois families and burdened them with costly bills.

“I do believe in his tariffs,” said Darren Bailey on Let’s Talk Lake County!, “becauseyou know, short-term pain for long-term gain. I totally believe that.

The “short-term pain” Bailey mentioned has been a year of high prices for Illinois families already struggling to make ends meet.

Time and time again, Bailey has proven he’ll put President Trump and his agenda before the needs of Illinois families across the state.

JB for Governor Communications Director Alex Gough released this statement:

“This is just another example of where Darren Bailey’s loyalty lies – with Trump and Trump only. Bailey would rather watch Illinoisans struggle to make ends meet than speak up about Trump’s illegal war and skyrocketing costs. He constantly proves how unfit he is to serve Illinois.”

Illinoisans deserve answers: Does Darren Bailey support the war that is sending prices through the roof?
